Porter Cable 890 with Festool guide rail

Hi All,

Wanted to see if any one had any suggestions or ideas on using the Porter Cable 890 router with the Festool tracks?  Will the Festool guide for with the PC base?

Before I picked up the Festool 1010 and 1400 routers along with the guide rail accessories for them I used my 892 with the guide rails. I used some Baltic birch plywood to make a base plate for the router to attach to. I also used the same material to attach the base plate I made to the guide rails. I basically created a dado that slipped over the channel on the edge of the rail. It was a friction fit but loose enough I could slide it up and down the guide rail. This worked ok, but didn’t have the flexibility that comes with using the Festool routers and their accessories. Since I bought the 1010 and 1400, my 892 lives in a mobile router table.
