Posting pics with an iPad

So my 5 year old MacBooks battery won't hold a charge and apple wants $130 for a new battery. The laptop works fine when plugged in and I'd rather put the money towards an iPad instead of a new battery. One of my concerns with getting the iPad is not being able to post pics directly to the fog. Is there a way to post pics??  My wife has an iPad but I only get to use it when she sleeping, and by that time the battery is dead. I really like using hers but I'm thinking of getting one with 3G so I can use it at work to send emails, make notes and check installation manuals and mainly view the fog  [tongue]. Hopefully there is a way to post pics from the iPad and if not, Shane get on that  [big grin].

Dave

Dave,

Nope.  It isn't Shane - it is IOS.  There aren't files so to speak to upload.

Sorry.

Peter

That stinks. So there are no apps that allow it?  I'm computer illiterate so I can't comprehend why this can't be done.

Dave

Dave,

You remember when we couldn't get the pictures of Elodie on here.  The FOG isn't Apple friendly or the other way around.

Also,  if you'd like more time with the iPad, may I suggest sleeping pills or alcohol early after Becky gets home. (DON'T TELL HER I SAID THAT)  [big grin]

Dave...there's Tapatalk!  That's the only way I access the FOG!  There's a standard version that is universal for iPad and iPhone...there's also an HD version for the iPad alone!  We'll chat about it!

So I spoke builderbob and downloaded tapatalk for my iPhone. Let's see if I can post a pic

Just a random truck pic uploaded from my iPhone

Now I just need to get used to the way the forum looks on this app. But it's a great app and too easy to post pics right from your phone.

Bob is there a way to put the faces in my posts, or is there another app for that ( insert face poking face with stick)

Dave

The only way to insert all the face crap is to know what the punctuation gestures are.

Dave,

You gave away your secret caulk collection.  [tongue] [big grin] [scared] [wink] [unsure] [smile] [huh] [eek] [cool] [embarassed] [sad] [crying] [mad] [poke] [not worthy] [scratch chin] [doh] [thumbs up] [drooling] [bite tongue] [jawdrop] [popcorn] [dead horse]

Well I was wrong about posting images, but I do have an answer for your smiley situation.  You can post your reply using tapatalk.  The switch to Safari and open it up.  Then you can use the smileys to your hearts content, but not to Ken's extremes.  Excessive smileys lead to big frownies.

Ken has frownie points right now.  [poke]

I have to agree. Any carpenter using a festool arsenal should not need to be carrying that much caulking!  [scared]

Just kidding Dave.  [big grin]

Is that a 1 yr supply?  [poke] I like the holder. I was thinking of using a systainer 4 or 5 just for caulk  [big grin]

Those chaulk holders are great I got then from american van. I do use the dap230 and back caulk all my copes. I also find it holds well and remain nice and flexible so we also use it to caulk the trim to the walls. Any gap against the wall that's large will get a quick bead and then the wall will get skimmed in that area. I don't use caulk to fix miters just to fix the horrible gaps against the drywall. The wood framing material used today is horrible and twists and bows so much, most of the time before the house is drywalled I end up cutting out over 2 dozen bowed studs.

Plus I love the way caulk makes my pant waterproof  [tongue]

Trying post as a thumbnail ...

Stunning entry to a garden  [thumbs up]. Sorry, carry on  [embarassed]

Yeah, well, a multi-million dollar beachfront house in Cayucos, Ca (that's the pacific ocean just over the gate). Trying to figure out how/where I can copy it at our place. Is it gratuitous to build a gate to nowhere just so you can look at it?  [cool]

According to zillow:
  - 5500 square feet (didn't look that big to me from the street)
  - 8 bedrooms
  - 6.5 bathrooms
  - view distance: horizon!
