SMF 2.0 RC4 is out, and although only a release candidate, appears to be rather stable and MUCH easier on the eye.

I would not use an RC with a forum this big.

You can stay in the current and can make it a lot easier on the eyes.

Yes, I keep pretty up-to-date on such things. I'm not willing to run the forum on a release candidate that's not fulling supported, tested and deemed ready for production server use.
