I've been waiting for the Nova Voyager at a supplier that owes me a discount on one (long story) but getting tired of waiting for it to get restocked. Any opinions or experience with the PM model listed? It comes with a free X clamp table that I can't place a value on it.

Thanks
Mike

I have owned both and the power metic is a better drill I think. I had the Nova first and the reason I bought it for for the tapping feature and it did not work worth a crap. It would over torque out all the time so down the road it went. It took forever to get my power matic but so far I'm happy with it. It's not a quite as the nova. The table on the PM is better for wood working. Better castings also. Plus the nova takes to long to get going if all you want to do is drill one simple hole.

Interesting.  based on previous posts consensus was that Nova was a better drill press

I've been waiting for Viking to go back in stock and so far only price increases on it but still no stock anywhere to be found.  They "supposedly" had a refurbished sale yesterday but I didn't see a single drill press listed.  When i asked them they replied "all drill presses sold out"  I guess i missed it but i was checking the site from 6am - 10am every 15 minutes.

I'm thinking of importing Bosch PBD 40 from Germany as I found it for $370 vs $1100 current price for Viking
