There has been lots of posts about table saw on the forum lately.

Thought you may be interested in a few pics of one of Festools solutions, There is very little information any where on the net about the CS50 and CS70, before I bought it i had a search on here and asked question from the people that had one, think there is only one or two members that have one. Alex from the Netherlands has the big brother.

I bought it ex demo at a knock down price otherwise I dont think I could have justified its cost. Wait for it!!

£1,746.00

Now I think even for Festool that`s an extraordinary price, however it is an extraordinary saw. It does produce high end cabinet saw cut quality and accuracy on site with portability.

I am not good with computers and cant work out how to post picture with  captions underneath, so you will have to follow the numbers

2.Easy to set up
3.Base the same as CMS
4.Blade raised
5.Riving knife in working position

8/9.Basic supplied fence in crosscut mode ( the fence is the same as on the MFT but with short rail.

SEE FRANK PELLOWS POST BELOW FOR EDITED PHOTOS AND CAPTIONS. THANK YOU FRANK

Very nice, John.  The only reason I haven't asked you guys to send me one of the 2 models is the depth of cut isn't enough for me.  I want the versatility of a larger blade/depth of cut.

By the way, no dust collector?  [tongue]

You can cut twice the stated depth because you can do enclosed crown cut with the riving knife in place.

Thanks Frank computer idiot this end.

Ken not all my tools are festool hence the dust. [big grin]

John,

How does that work and then what is the actual maximum cutting depth for both the CS50 and CS70?

CS50 52mm CS70 70mm.

The riving knife in the first position is in line with top of blade . So you can rip at its full height with the knife in position the flip it and recut, if you know what i mean

John

John (Mr Windmill Man), I have finished placing the photos in-line now.  Maybe you would now like to remove the photos from your posts, so that they only appear in one place in this thread.

That is an amazing saw! BUTT I think I've got a few more years of lugging around my Bosh saw...

I get 72mm with my CS70and a Panther ripping blade, just yesterday as a matter of fact.

I think I bought mine about 6 - 7 yrs ago including the sliding table and a long support.

Such a nice tablesaw. I used a DeWalt table model saw before but that one never came close to this one.

Very accurate and easy to use, good dust collection.

Still "searching" for side extension plates.

I use dado blade set at least 3 times a week, even daily. Does this saw accept dado blades?

Dado blades are an issue in Europe due to safety regulations I believe.

I'm sure that I have heard that too.

I do agree that using a table saw with dado blades is more dangerous than using the same saw with a single blade.  That does not stop me from using a GOOD Forest dado set on my GOOD General 650 saw, but my preference is still to cut dados and rabbets with a router or shaper.  I would never use one of the inferior dado sets on one the inferior table saws.

Yeah Dado saw blades are banned on table saws in Europe on safety grounds. You can make rebates on a table saw I know that felder/hammer do an expanding groove cutter that is in 2 parts and you adjust with different size shims from approx 15-25mm. But they aint mobile like the cs50 or 70
