I just ordered a set of the new Precision Parallel Guides v1.1. Jerry is super to deal with and the new design looks great. I can even use these guides with my long Makita rail I picked up cheap.

From the email it is:
Major improvement are the redesigned Length adapters. From now on, one can Length Adapters without Spacers for a faster way while wide stock ripping. Although, Spacers can be used in the same manner as in the previous version of Parallel Guides.


I think this means that in the past it was necessary to use the long metal bar spacers at all times, whereas the new length adapters can be used as a "stop" by themselves (see "Image 4" & "Image 8" on the website) (without needing to attach the metal bars as in "Image 9").

Of course this them means the scale needs to be re-calibrated to the "spacer free" stop...
