I am in the process of reconfiguring my work vehicles so as to minimize the amount of time that I pull a trailer.  In addition, I am preparing for the addition of a Kapex to my collection.  My current scms has taken the most abuse of my current tools in transit due to its size.

I fear that I would be divorced / lynched / (insert you own thoughts here) if that should happen to a Kapex.  So, here are two questions for you guys.

1.  In a previous post there was mention of a special shipping container for shipment to / from servicing in Europe.  Any possibility of Festool offering those for sale or a special sized systainer?

2.  Whereas I suspect #1 above will be a no, if I were to design a protective box to eventually hold a Kapex, what would the minimum size be in its smallest configuration?

I figure that I could incorporate that into my design for storage and put a sign such as "Future home of Kapex" to goad my wife some more.  She is tiring of my offer to get a puppy for her and name it Kapex.

Any help that you  can provide to the questions above would be greatly appreciated.

Peter,

I've just been & measured mine (in inches, too, for the benefit if the unmetricated!), and if you were to make a box out of, say 1/2" or 3/4" ply (or anything else, for that matter!), the minimum internal dimensions required would be W28"xH19"xD20".

Hope that helps.
