Hop on it today boys.  Prices going up.  1 month left to capitalize.

Seriously :(

Inflation, cost of doing business.  I'm sure this will be a hot topic and folks will flame, argue, challenge and even defend it, but at the end of the day, its happening.  A quick look and it seems like it's around 5%ish on some key, more expensive tools.

Expected and happens in most businesses, and freight carriers etc etc etc... But the April 1st date seems like bad planning!  :o

Why are people always surprised when prices go up? 10 years ago gas was almost a third of what I pay now. The price on glass has doubled and the price of milk is up 50%. Materials prices and transportation have all gone up; who else is going to pay for the cost?

Surprised? Not even, as this has become an annual thing. Unhappy is more like it, but Festool has what we want.

These are all ordered by item number...it is a pain to look for the item number first, but I can see why the list is organized like that.

I'm not asking anyone to do this, but I like seeing the current price next to the new price and the difference. I believe that is how it was posted in years past.

Sorry gents, didn't have the previous price in this list.  Also, I hear ya Brice regarding ordering by best sellers / tools and then the random and obscure at the bottom.  Didn't have a chance to re order this AM before list was passed onto my developer.  Tis in numerical order, so it can be searched easily enough.

Does anyone have the previous list?  ~5 mins in Excel and we can have it all calculated for everyone.

Also, it seems that the price changes should be referred to as a "price adjustment" as some items are going down in price?  I was looking at the Sysport 500 and it seems as though it's dropping $25 on April 1.  Though my guess is that overall, most things will directionally move to be more expensive, hence this being looked at overall as an "increase".

I found the 2013 list and calculated the changes in the attached .pdf.  The list did not have newer tools that were released later in 2013 or account for models where the part number changed (e.g. drills where the battery capacity increased, thus changing the part number).

As for percentage increase / decrease....  it's all over the place.
