I got a line on a very lightly used CT33 that I think I can pick up for $250.  It's about 4 years old and still has, according to the owner, the orginal bag.  Maybe 4-5 hours of actual running time, maybe less. Good deal?

I'm planning on using it with my new Dust Deputy.  It's currently hooked up to my Boeing 747 aka Sears shop vac.  Boy is that thing loud!  I figure the 33 should be about 10-15 DB's quieter.  So far, I'm very impressed on how well the system works with a 2.5" hose.  Had it hooked up to my BS and router table today and it worked like a champ.

I think that is a heck of a good price. My CT33 is hooked to a Dust Deputy and the bag now seems to last forever! Have mine attached to some plywood locked into the top of the CT. Take a look at the HEPA filters and if looking new will give you an idea of usage.

Howard,

I agree with the others - check it out and if mildly used - it's a good deal.

I'm surprised to see Hoover recommend a Festool vac.  [eek] [scared] [blink] [big grin] [big grin]

Sorry, just couldn't resist.  [smile]

picked it up this afternoon.  Included some extra bags.  Without spilling too many beans, it was a dealer who had it sitting on the floor as a demontrator.  We checked to see if it was alright to sell.  It's not as if it was brand new or anything.  As expected, it works perfectly.  I'm a two CT family!  Now I have to decide whether or not to use it as primary DC for other Festools which means I would have to remove the boom arm off the 22 move it over.  Other than some extra capacity, I can't think of anything else I would be gaining.
