Process to maintain sync with battery tools?

I recently acquired two Festool items that have the Bluetooth batteries. I paired the batteries to my CT vacuum, and it worked perfectly. When I turned on the tool after sinking, it turned on the vacuum. The issue I am having is after I switched tools or go back to the same tool after shutting both off. I have to hit the blue sink button on my CT back as well as the battery of the tool I'm using. Is this normal or am I missing something. I assume that once I paired them, I wouldn't have to repeat the process each time

With my CTM extractor if I switch the machine off or swap batteries it loses its pairing.
I'm not bothered about that cos I don't want the extractor to trigger if I put that paired battery into another tool that doesn't need extraction or a site radio.

I didn't consider your scenario since both my tools require dust extraction. Thank you for clarifying, take care.

I don't have many battery tools by em, just a HKC55 circular saw (which benefits from extraction) a DWC4500 drywall gun and site radio which don't.

Also ,I guess that if I had a cordless extractor running paired batteries it would end up in a self exiting feedback loop.

My extractor is 110 volts so that wouldn't be an issue.

Cheers, Scott.
