My buddy wanted to learn about woodworking so we chose some woods he liked and built a box.

He is using it in his trunk to store his backpack and stuff but it was more for him to learn the process and less about the end result, although I’m happy with how it turned out.

It’s so rewarding seeing someone learn similar thinks you take for granted but just learned yourself 1-2 years ago.

@Ishah72414 thanks!

[member=41086]Vondawg[/member] thanks! Yes still working on figuring that out. Someone posted a tip in another thread, I'll take a look.

[member=1619]SRSemenza[/member] thanks! Yeah, those two PH boards were sitting in my shop for two years, so it was actually nice to get rid of them ha!

Matt

Wow Matt you really are a creative guy. I like the way the colors sort of flow together and the knot centered on the bottom of the box really pops

[member=18880]Neal[/member] thanks!!!

[member=10147]jobsworth[/member] thanks man! Really appreciate it !

Don't forget to give your friend a friendly reminder about the Purple Heart and sunlight! If that "bright purple" is indeed important. Nice work.

Nice work, I'm sure your friend appreciated the time you took to help him on his journey!

I confess, I saw Purple Heart in the subject line and thought I'd see a display cabinet for one of our heros.....

[member=32478]mcooley[/member] good call!

[member=42009]gunnyr[/member] haha, a fair point. Coincidence, my wife was in the Army for many years - so, not all that off-topic!
