Promo 2021

Hi everyone, I purchased T18+3 and PSC 420 today. When registered on the Festool site, they both are labelled as “Basic-Promo-2021”. My reseller did not tell me about this promo and sold me two extra batteries with an “action” label for the standard price. When I asked about the “action” label, he said, “it’s our internal stuff...” no more explanation.

Is the promo for customers, or the reseller can use it to increase his margin?

I don’t get it. I have 14 days for money return by Festool, right? But before I do it, I would like to know what the policy is?

I am disappointed by the reseller as this was my third Festool purchase, so I expected a more customer-oriented approach.

Any recommendations?

My recent purchases of basic-promo branded kit was essentially a bare unit with free battery. My t18 basic promo came with a free 4.0ah battery for example.

No idea if it's discretionary based on dealer, could well be I guess.

It would help to know your country where purchased.  I did a google search and see that Kelvin Tools in the UK has a promo that includes a free battery.  I do not know if this deal applies to the rest of Europe, but I know the United States and Europe have different pricing structures.

It’s the Czech Republic. I can see the free promo battery on other local resellers’ e-shop, so it should be valid here as well.

I do not know the Festool rules outside of the United States.  Here, the return policy is 30 days and our prices are pretty well fixed unless it is old inventory replaced by a newer model.  Batteries are pretty expensive and I would be pretty aggravated if this happened to me.  I know what I would do.

In Europe free 4,0Ah battery added to cordless tools started since the beginning of April. Seems that this is not an officially listed on Festool website action, but only among their dealers. Indeed all sets of tools which are covered by this promo is marked as "Basic-Promo 2021". I bought new TSC55K and when it was shipped to me I found just one promo battery, but I contacted my dealer and after 3 days, he sent me another one.

I would contact that dealer where you bought both tools and ask him to solve that issue with lack of promo battery. If it will not help - you have 30 days to return tools and than you can repeat your purchase in more friendly place
