Protective finish on MDF question

Looking for Osmo 3044 in the US, I don't find it. Amazon offers a 3051 raw matte. Does anyone know about that version?

I don't know why, but it seems the numbers are different in the US/Canada to the UK.

The UK 3062 Clear Matte is 3031 in the US, and the UK 3044 Raw seems to be 3051 in the US.

Maybe the formulations are slightly different due to legislation in the respective countries? It might be worth reaching out to Osmo for clarification, but I would guess they'd result in the same finishes.

I got a nice reply quite quickly from Osmo USA:

Yes Polyx 3051 is the US equivalent to Polyx 3044 "raw" in the EU.

And mattgam--I have 3054, I've tried it on some test cabinet doors and like it a lot--very easy to use, non-messy.

I used 3054 (clear, satin) on my MFT tops.  It came out quite well and resists glue squeeze-out reasonably well, provided I wipe it quickly.  [smile]
