Hi everybody,

I  got a Protool PWC 18-2500 and searching for a long Torx bit. It looks like there is none from Festool/Protool.
BTW are the Fastool default bits for the PWC 18-2500 compatible?

Any suggestions about working with the machine and Torx screws? I like to use the Torx 4.0 x 35 with OSB3 with a 9 and 18mm thickness.

Thank you

LA

I think you mean a Protool DWC screw gun.
Pro/Festool doesn't offer Torx bits for these machines, only PZ2 and PH2.
You can look at Senco, they are carrying TX20 bits.
However I don't know if they fit the DWC and maybe hard to obtain.
You can inform yourself at Poppers-senco.nl

I just measured the original PH/PZ bit for the DWC screw drivers.
These are 152 mm long and that's 6".
Unfortunately the Senco TX20 ones are 174 mm and thus will not fit.
Axminster UK sells these long TX20 which are 150 mm long.
I have these myself for my UJK Pocket Hole Jig and will try if they fit the DWC this evening.
I also found a Wera TX 20x152 bit. It's sold by Prof-Tools.nl.

Still wondering where you get the Torx bandscrews?
Because you're looking for long bits that fit the autofeed magazine.
I've never seen Torx bandscrews, because most are PH2 screws for drywall and some are PZ2 screws but even these are difficult to get.
