Hi guys,

I'm french and new to the forum, which seem to be a great info source...

I have to buy a jigsaw and looked at both trion and carvex models, but i have a question. Is it possible to make an angle cut with the trion mounted on the FS-PS/PSB300 guide rail adapter?

hope i'm readable.

Welcome!!! [smile]

I have done that just this week.

When I did it I was not sure whether to remove the splinterguard,  I did and got a bit of tearout.

I was using the PS300 with a festool guide system FS on a 800 rail, my bevelled cut came out nicely at 15 degrees.

The baseplate on the trion is an a shambles, probably the worst part festool has made.Try setting a bevel accurately or even inaccurately.A disaster unless you stick to 90 degrees.Just my opinion.

[blink]  Maybe I had beginners luck, it was the first time i set mine to anything other than 90 degrees.

I checked the 15 degree bevelled cut with my Wixey dig angle guage and sure enough it came to very close to 15 degrees.

Does anyone know about whether to keep the splinterguard in place?

I think the idea is to have splinter guard for each operation or blade thickness.
