Ps 420 jigsaw bases set query

Hi every one. First post so lets see how it goes.

I've just received my PS 420 as up graded from the 300 and from what I've read on here, glad I didn't buy the 400. I also bought the base kit which includes angle base, core jig, guild base, three bases and 5 felt pads for delicate surfaces. My problem is and I hope I'm missing something obvious, I don't have a stickfix base for the felt pads to attach too. Festool do sell a stickfix base but its odd that I've got spare felt with nothing to attach to in the first place.

The StickFix base comes with the Carvex, at least as it was configured for its original release here.

The stickfix base isnt actually 'sticky' it has very fine ribs on the base that the felt sticks to. there are 4sets of numbers on the inside of the base , 477637 , 477175 , 477638 , PA6GF50 , havent a clue why so many numbers but should help you identify correct base . be aware that the felt has a tendecy to snag on the workpiece directly behind the blade unless you tip it forward slightly as you start the cut. hope this helps  , dave

So the felt doesn't actually fix to it like Velcro? My base has a groove running from front to back along the middle, no ribs. I'll check the numbers on it tomorrow. It just slips around. So should it work like the guild rail does by putting pressure on it and it just grips?
