Just an FYI that I just learned the hard way.
I'm putting together a "guntainer" which will hold my gun cleaning kit and also act as a transport when going to the shooting range. Because of the size of my hearing protectors, it needs to be a sys-2. I decided to use the lockable latches you can get so that I can lock the gun inside while transporting.
I thought an attic Sys-2 would be good to hold little bits like barrel cleaning brushes, etc.
However, I just got the Sys-2 attic yesterday and found that you can't swap the locking latch on it. The attic reduces clearance behind the lid where you must insert a metal plate that allows the locking mech to work. In fact, the lock cylinder of the latch won't even fit with the attic there.
Oh well, guess I'll swap the lid onto my Sys-1 "guitartainer". The attic will be good to store guitar picks.
