PSC 420 Jigsaw on off button .....somewhat difficult

Am I mad or is the button on thus jigsaw hard to use, Bit disappointed  as it seems dangerous every time I use it , it is difficult to turn off mid cut as you have to adjust your grip.

Are there any ideas I am missing in the technique  appreciate any tips the jigsaw is the barrel type

Perhaps I should sell it and get the handle grip version?

Ease of use really depends a lot on hand size, and there is no way festool can accomidate everyone. I have found that I use the saw in my right hand, with my grip favoring the right side of the tool slightly.  This way I can flick the switch with a forward/sideways movement of my index finger. 

If your left hand was free could you also anticipate your stop and move your left hand to the head of the saw just before you move your right hand slightly to switch off the tool?

Thanks John for your tip  I have been using my thumb and it seems awkward and I have a large hand but I will try your method and let you know how I go
