Pub Table

[attachimg=2]Recently completed this pub height table for our family room.  It is made out of 1 1/4" quarter sawn white oak and the joints are mortise/tenon pinned with dowels.  It was stained to match some of the other woodwork in the house and six coats of polyurethane.

Now all it needs is to be christened with a couple of pints of Guiness...

What is "pub height"?  I will asssume it's the height of one's horizontal forearms, with hands surrounding a pint (proper 20-oz) of Guiness or Old Peculier, leaning forward and resting on the table, while seated in a well-patinated Windsor chair.  What are your Metric and Imperial measurments?  [big grin] [wink]

I believe I made this 41" (possibly 42" my CRS flares up sometimes) so a person could stand and lean or sit on a stool.
