I'm a fan of Diode LED. Reasonably priced and they are very efficient.

I prefer tapes to pucks.

Speaking of drivers...I really like the Mean Well AP series drivers. They're inexpensive, compact and they can be tucked away easily.

Just like Festool, pricey but worth the premimum. They make pucks, and strips and tape and tubes. Flourescent, LED, and halogen.

Hafele has a new line called Loox, that is really broad and cheaper than HERA. But, I have no direct experience with it. Saw it at IWF and it was a solid looking product offering.

Being able to adjust the color temp may not be needed in most cases but it is interesting.
The Dynamic LEDs are expensive, but I think I have a specific need.

The color / temp changing LEDs are the new rage. L&S offers this too , and is accomplished thru the dimming module.
The linear strip LED lites are also all the rage with the Euro furniture makers this year. Almost all of the light manuf. are placing tape LEDs inside an aluminum extrusion with a plastic lens.
Pucks are easier to execute, but the linear profiles give a more even light and look more posh because neither you nor the "Jones'" have them yet. Two years from now IKEA will sell them for 39.99 complete , and we'll be looking for the next hot product in lighting.

Their quality is better than most. They make several plug and play LED lighting systems.
One of the issues with higher intensity puck lights is the lack of a heat sink. I've seen recessed puck lights fall out after the heat cause the wood to shrink- thereby expanding the holes they were mounted in. You won't have that issue with L&S.

I just got a set of nine 120V, dimmable (with a regular dimmer switch) high brightness puck LEDS for a large cabinet project. They can be surface mounted or recessed and they tilt in their housing for optimum lighting. The color temperature is a nice warm white at 3100K.
They were less expensive than the high end lights, but far superior to any that I have seen in the big box stores. They can be daisy chained up to 20 pucks on a string. I found them athttp://www.affordablequalitylighting.com and they are my new go to cabinet lights from now on. (I have no affiliation with that company)
