Hey all -

I'm looking to reside a small section of wall on my place, where went from a door to a window opening. It's a small area - basically 8' square. The cost to get enough claps to re-side the wall with  quartersawn pine - to match the rest of the house - was quoted at $200, before shipping. Is that a little or a lot?

Thanks,

- Benjamin

That sounds like a lot to me. I live in Sweden where everything is cheaper except the things that are free. The don't cost much. ;)

Anyway, $200 would get me a big pile of pine over here.

200 dollars ( 100 quid ) here in england

would buy about 126 metres (412 feet) of 3x2 CLS at trade prices (including sales tax of 17.5 percent)

about 51 number 8 foot lengths

but i wouldnt class CLS as "pine"

Doesn't sound bad for quarter sawn to me, for plain it would be pricey.
