I saw these Kapex Extensions in a video, and I have a question about them.

Will they still work without the wheeled stand?  If so, how "high" will the leg allow them to go?  Where I have my saw mounted now the top is at 3' 9-1/4".

Thanks,

-jamie

I just got them (and the cart). The height is going to match the MFT/3, but not the MFT/Kapex (I think you can mount the old style extensions to the MFT/Kapex)

I don't see how the height adjustment is going to match your saw top at 45 1/4" by itself. You could fab up a 9 3/4" block to put the extension leg into. The height adjustment really seems to work to level things out, not to make up for a wide discrepancy in heights. Think of it more along the lines of the adjustable foot on the MFT.

They are designed to work at 900mm, which is about 35-7/16".

Like fatroman said, the height adjustment is meant to account for imperfect floors. I think you're about 9"-10" too high.

WOW!

I don't normally confess to silly oversights - but this is just funny!

I looked at the pictures in the first link here and thought "damn - those ones have got extra extensions in them - mine don't"  [sad]

Got home and just looked ... Yep, mine are the same and I didn't even know.

Fortunately I haven't used them in a way that I would have needed the extra extension - glad I found that out beforehand  [big grin]

Actually, the UG stands will fit on a Kapex installed on an MFT/Kapex. They mount on each side of the Kapex itself, not the table, and the MFT/Kapex is designed so that when the Kapex is installed, the total height is that of the MFT/3, i.e. 900mm. I bought and installed them today, works just fine.

As well, the previous extensions work fine with the Kapex on the UG if you use the table extensions.

They also work as MFT extensions using the Kapex table extensions connected to the MFT/3
