I recently bought the Festool UG Stand and the arm wings. My questions is when you pull out the hidden wing extension the tape seems to be backwards on it. The standard wing ends at 58 1/2 and when you fully extend the support wing it starts at 93 1/3 and works backwards to 58 1/2.

Is this designed like this on purpose and I"m missing why or was my extension wings take put on backwards?

The scale reads where the end stop is located. Rotate the stop up, bout your piece being cut against the stop and your length should be that indicated on the scale.

What thudchkr is referring to is there is a tab/stop that rotates up on the end of the extension. You rotate the tab upward, slide the extension to set the scale to the edge of the body of the UG wing, snug the thumb bolt to hod the extension in place, butt the piece to be cut to the tab and against the fence, make the cut. The piece should be the length you set the scale to.
