I have been busy remodeling my kitchen, master bath, and one family room over last 3 months. Over that time, I forgot that I purchased a TCS-55K to replace my TS-55 and was very happy to find it while I was moving some materials around. Will I need to replace the splinter guard strip on my existing rails prior to using the new saw or will it match the cut on my existing rails?

Also, I was thinking of posting pics of the remodel, including my cabinet builds, construction, etc. It seems that a lot of small questions and opinion are posted, but not a lot of work showcasing members use of Festool tools. Any thoughts or wasting my time?

Cheers!

The saw can be adjusted to match the existing splinter guard, but I'd suggest just replacing the splitter guard with the new saw. It would save time and fiddling around.

As written before, you can adjust the "new" saw.  I guess whether or not it would be worth the effort would depend on if the old saw is also in use.

Lots of us love to see projects and get inspirations and ideas.  AND offer thoughts...
