Quick Disconnect Fittings for VAC SYS Lines

It looks like the Milton connectors linked on Amazon are the standard NPT thread.

Yes, you connect the Milton socket (the big brass thing) to the McMaster plug which will replace the brass barbed fitting in the Festool units. One each in the Vac Sys and two in the foot switch.

I like this particular set because both sockets are female 1/4” npt so I can screw tube/1/4npt fittings.

Here is a much nicer Milton coupler/socket. This 5-in-1 coupler “Accepts all major interchanges: Industrial (M-Style), High Flow (V-Style), Automotive (T-style), ARO (A-Style) & Lincoln (L-style)”

It is also a “safety release” coupler which means it exhausts the air in the line before releasing the plug, so a pressurized hose won’t go flying when the collar is pulled. Of course this is of no value in a vacuum use.

Michael, BSPP is a straight thread and it needs a face gasket to seal properly. I believe the Festool face seals are #002225, $2.09 each. I think they are Teflon but another elastomer would work...think rubber...silicone...or EPDM.
