"Quick" nut desired for OF-2000

I put one of my OF-2000 routers in a table (the Veritas steel table, mounted between 2 MFT/3 tables), and it's working great.  I removed the springs from the OF-2000, so the router glides smoothly up and down with minimal force required to lift up.  One thing I was hoping to do is to fashion some kind of quick-adjustment nut in place of the micro adjust nut that is on the OF-2000.  Does anyone know if this can be done?  Is this something I could do myself by drilling an offset hole through the nut?  It appears that is how Veritas makes its "speed" nuts (Item D):

I am looking for the same kind of functionality.  I think some drill presses have similar quick-adjustment nuts for setting depth.  This would allow me to do a quick adjustment of router height, but still maintain the ability to micro adjust.  If I can't make one myself, I'd have to find one that has the same thread pitch as the OF-2000 nut (one revolution moves the height 1mm).

Thanks,
Brian

Thanks much Richard.

As an aside, one thing I noticed as I was working with the fine adjustment nut on the OF-2000 is that it appears the Festool documentation is incorrect.  It states that one revolution of the nut produces 1.0 mm of height adjustment.  However, the rod and nut are actually M8-1.25 (I tested with various nuts/bolts to make sure), which means that each spin yields 1.25 mm of adjustment, not 1.0 mm.  Was Festool just approximating/rounding the travel, or am I not understanding the pitch on a metric thread?  It's not a huge deal (20 spins to the inch vs. 25); I just think it's odd that Festool would fudge the number, if in fact that's the case.
