As a Domino 500 and Carvex owner I'm thinking about a MFT/3 and a TS55 and my question is... What is the maximum length you can cut with the adjustable stops to the guide rail?

Thank you
Dave

I thought someone else would answer this. You can orientate the fence either way. Normally, you have the fence across the narrow part of the table. The narrow part of the table is 715 mm wide, but once you install the fence with the proper device that secure it, you can only cut a board 640 mm. Or, at least I can. Others can secure the fence at the back and get a bit more.

The length of the table is 1100 mm. I have not set up my guide rail to run the long way, but I would imagine you would lost the same amount, about 75 mm, meaning you could cut a board 1,025 mm wide. Put another way, a board 1,025 mm would fit between fence and the hinge at the front. Anything wider would not.

Do you mean crosscutting lengths with the mitre fence using stops?  I'll let someone else answer that if that's the case because I'm new and I'd imagine there's a lot of extensions you can buy or rig up to have lengths going off the table edge like a mitre saw stand.

If you asking about crosscutting lengths using the mitre fence stop as ScoFF mentioned it's a bit over 4 feet (with on my setup). The mitre fence slides as does the protractor head for even longer lengths, but I feel you risk the angle accuracy.
Also (again as ScoFF alluded to) the table accepts the Kapex (mitre saw) extensions, like Festool's, Fastcap's or Multiblades' adapter, so you can get to any length you need.

I don't have mine set up right now, my guess 32-36" (on the table).

Those numbers can be extend as others have stated. As you can see, I have a few stops on the MFT. It was set up for cutting and Domino indexing.

I use the old style kapex extension . I can get about 8' of cutting length from the rail

Thanks for the replies, I was asking about cross cut lengths without any extensions. What I need is to cut 36" cuts repeatedly in a confined work shop. My contractors saw wont go out that far, and no way to put up a stop on the compound miter so I was looking at this as an option.

I don't have one, but based on the pics on the website, I'd guess-timate that your cutting length is about the same as the table width... 45" or so.

I just checked mine, 36" will be no problem with no extensions. Make sure you use the end support on the rail.
