I have a couple of the 14.4 V drills so I have those batteries.  Would they work in a Carvex cordless that I'm thinking of getting, or do I have to get the 18V?

thanks for the quick reply guys.  another reason to love the fog and the brand.
i suppose my next step is to go on the other thread and moan about not getting a cordless carvex at the 40 percent recon sale.  oh wait--i didn't order one...

Looks like there is one available now, it is the top handle model.  Does anyone have any experience with the 12 volt batteries in the Carvex.  I have the corded Carvex and love it.  There are many times when picking up lumber I have often wish I had a cordless saw to cut a few long boards down to handle better.  This is because I don't own a truck.  I have many of Festools 12 volt batteries and was wondering about run time and power???

yeah thanks, I see that.  i'm going to go for the barrel grip because I'm always going into tight spots when I use my trion corded one now.  i'm guessing the 12v would work great for just a few pieces.  i carry a 28v milwaukee sawzall for cutting reclaimed lumber as well as a 28v bandsaw for steel when i'm out trying to make stuff fit in my van or trailer, but i suspect that some of the newer battery designs in the smaller sizes would be as good if not better than the old big stuff i'm lugging around now.
