I need a rabbeting bit and thought probably the best bang for my buck would be one that has different bearings for different sizes.  At this time I am building a medicine cabinet and need to cut a rabbet to set in a mirror or glass in the door.  I don't know much about router bits.  I believe my router (Skil 1830) can take 1/2" bits.  This is one set I found with free shipping: http://www.hartvilletool.com/product/3368/rabbeting-bits
Rockler has a set as I am sure others also.  What do you recommend?

I also use the CMT set, and it is great.  I have other bits made by Whiteside and by Rockler.  If your choice is between the two, I would definitely go with the Whiteside.  They are excellent quality.

Keep in mind that the max rabbet on this bit is 1/2" x 1/2".  You would need a larger one if you want full 3/4" rabbets.

Amana, Whiteside, and Infinity all sell rabbeting set with up to 12 changable bearings.  I've had the Amana for years.
