RE: Laminating Pressure Treated

I am in the finishing stages in the construction of a pergola. I tried talking the customer into using red cedar but they opted for pressure treated (pine). I need to add some finishing touches and in particular some decorative (structural) brackets between the vertical 6 X 6 and the horizontal 2 X 10 beam. I would like to laminate several pieces, edge to edge as well as surface to surface, in order to band saw a decorative bracket. Question: I am considering using a typical construction adhesive such as PL 2000 or Liquid Nails but was wondering if a polyurethane glue such as Gorilla glue might be better. The stocks pretty wet although i have had it in the shop for about a week or so. Anyone have any experience along these lines? In advance of all courtesies extended, Thank You!

PT glues well with any polyurethane glue such as gorilla glue.  The moisture in the wood ensures a good reaction. Liquid nails or any other construction adhesive is too thick to allow a good glue joint. You will end up with an unsightly gap or thick glue line.

  With the gorilla glue I would clamp the wood overnight.

Thanks Kevin!  I did a little more research and stumbled upon a forum "thread" from Wooden Boat and from this discussion I get the distinct idea that gluing PT is a terrible idea. I think I need to reconsider what the best approach will be. I can (maybe) go with some construction grade spruce to get the dimensional stock I need. The customer is talking about painting/staining the pergola when it is done.
