Rear Guide Bearing on Carvex 420

The rear guide bearing on my Carvex 420 doesn't seem to move at all and is always at a distance from the backside of the blade no matter what setting I have it on. The guide feels loose. I noticed that when I do turn the setting switch a part is moving inside where the blade is passing but it doesn't seem to engage anything.

Any thoughts, quick fixes or is this a service call?

have you altered the guide blocks by removing the base and adjusting with the allen key
