Hi,
First post here...
I am working from a shared shop and we have a Conturo but I have never used it. Now I am planing to try it out. It gets very little use in our shop...
I saw a brief discussion about edge banding in a different thread but it didn’t get very far and I thought it would be great to have a separate thread.
Question: What edge banding do people use and recommend for the Conturo? Where do you buy it in the U.S.?
We have 2mm PVC banding in the shop but I am more interested in wood veneer. I saw three different types online of non-glued wood banding: a) fleece backed edging, b) kraft paper backed edging, and c) thick wood edge banding from laminated layers (1-3mm). What do you use, what do you prefer? How thick? Where do you order it?
Here are some of the sites I found: Edgemate (all three types), Oakwood Veneer (fleece only), Edge Supply (not sure, probably fleece), Veneersupplies.com (not sure, probably fleece)
Thanks!
