I ordered a CT36 AC (didn't really want AC - but it was what was up)
The picture APPEARS to have the black plastic hose and no the anti static one. Is this a change if you order the old CT without the push buttons?

In the end, I don't mind as I already had a 36mm hose for this and wasn't going to use the 27mm hose (I was going to try and sell it though)

Was the picture wrong or does anyone know if that is what they ship with as a Recon now?

Are you referring to SKU 576760? Here's the Recon picture for that SKU. If so, it was designed to be used with the Planex so that explains the hose choice.

And the description:

No more clogged filters – the AUTOCLEAN (AC) automatic main filter cleaning keeps the filter clean and provides a continuously high suction power. The CT 36 AC is designed to be used with the PLANEX and PLANEX easy drywall sanders. With its huge container capacity of 36 l, the CT 36 AC provides maximum volume and a high degree of flexibility. Equipped with swiveling castor wheels and rear wheels for optimum mobility. It also has a locking brake that provides stability on any surface as well as during transport. The flat filter fully integrated in the suction head ensures the full volume is utilized: This means that the gross and net container volumes are virtually identical. The extremely compact high-performance turbine provides the right suction power. A 137 CFM (3900 l/min) volume flow means that nothing remains except clean air.

  • AUTOCLEAN automatic main filter cleaning system with infinitely adjustable cleaning intervals for consistently high suction power
  • Can be individually retrofitted with an additional compressed air or Bluetooth® module for remote control on the suction hose or automatic start via the Bluetooth® battery pack.
  • OSHA Table 1 Silica dust control solution for the applications outlined as; iii, vii, viii, x, xi, xii (always check your local guidelines to ensure the proper equipment and PPE is being used for the given application)
  • Smooth suction hose and optimized SYS-Dock with cord holder and T-LOC function for conveniently connecting Systainers to the mobile dust extractor
  • Antistatic function prevents static developing during work
  • ComfortClean closing slide (accessory) for even more powerful cleaning
  • Attachment of Systainers via SYS-Dock
  • Hose garage and cable windup for greater tidiness and safety
  • Economical because of the optimal use of the available volume with a SELFCLEAN filter bag in the container
  • Container/filter bag capacity 36/34 l
  • With AUTOCLEAN function

Includes:

  • High Performance Filter
  • Selfclean Filter Bag
  • Plastic Liner
  • 11-1/2 ft Dust Extractor Hose
  • Hose Holder
  • SYS-Dock with T-LOC function
  • Cable Holder

Item No: 576760

Ahh, yup - Hmm - now i wonder if I made the wrong choice?
This will be dedicated to a 1010 router and a track saw using the 36mm hose
I just wanted something a little bigger and the higher CFM than my midi - also the 36mm hose has the 14ga plug it cord on it vs the midi which has the 27mm hose and the small plug it

I don't think you made a bad choice. The AC models just have the AutoClean feature. It should work as any of the larger CT extractors. I guess you just have to get the 27mm hose. Shaper has a black D27 fabric wrapped hose that looks pretty darn cool and is $99 (but about half a meter shorter).

Already have a 27mm and a 36mm for my midi, got tired of swapping them, so I bought this to use the 36mm on wide open for track saw and router and keep my MIDI for sanding. Sanding uses the power on low anyway, and I always forgot to turn it up for the router and made a mess - so the 36 can stay wide open as that won't matter for the track saw or router and midi can stay low power for sanding.
