So what is the opinion of folks that have received their 30% off recon tools?  Do you all think it's worth the discount? Thanks.

Well, I saved about $400 on a Kapex...so that's a very easy YES answer to your question.

I ordered another CT that will probably show up in the next day or two. My guess is the difference in percentage is an appearance issue, not a performance issue. I doubt Lebanon is going to send out crappy units that don't perform properly. I don't see Shane or the other Festool guys going for that. So I'm guessing more or less scratches, dull finish etc. I wouldn't be too concerned, order with confidence. If your tools work they'll end up with scratches anyway.
But then again I could just be guessing out of my butt.  [scratch chin]

I believe it is about the cosmetics .

I bought a rotex 125 in a t lock.  20% off but still had that new festool smell!

[big grin].    I wouldn't worry about the 30% tools.    And they have a one year warranty .

So jump at the chance to save a couple bucks.  I did .  I wasn't in the market for  a RO 125,

And now I have one  [big grin]!

I just received a MIDI 30%

It was in great condition.

Looked like it had been used an hour or so - but it would have looked like that the first time I used it.

I buy, refurbish and sell a lot of used Festools. Even when they might not look so good anymore, they're still in perfectly working order. Festools are just rock solid, even on the long run.

When a tool is sold reconditioned by Festool themselves, you can rest assured they are in mint condition.

When you buy a Kapex does it come with a new blade?

The blades on the saws are inspected and replaced if needed. They will be in new or very like new condition with minimal use and certainly no dulling or defects.

Shane:

Are the MINI's & MIDI's the new, stronger powerplant and HEPA filter version? If not all of them, is there any way for the end user to know what they are getting?

Thanks in advance,

Tom

First time I've heard of this.  Where do you go to look at what's available?

I would also like to know which models of the Mini and Midi are available.

Tom, sorry I missed your post. There's no way to tell which motor is in these units. As you know, the product number did not change and there's no way to identify which motor they have. So, I can't guarantee which motor will be in there. I would advise your customers that they will get a minimum of 99CFM. It's probable that most of these are the newer ones though.

Not all dealers are participating. Some that are have real time inventory on their websites.

I just received a MIDI 20% off.

It was in great condition.

The MIDI is going to be dedicated to my Kapex, and when needed for use out of the shop. The CT-22 with boom arm was just too much to move out of the shop.

Still waiting for the ETS 150/3 that was 30% off

Thanks Festool USA  [big grin]

I wouldn't mind an OF2200 for 30% off  :). I doubt that model is involved, but if it is point me to a link! I found one for 10% off and a couple 20%off but they are gone already. Heck, I dont care about the stainer or extras either.

I would like  RAS too, can't find one reconditioned.

There are RAS 115 (classic or T-Loc) at 20% off and OF 2200 at 10%.

If you don't think a ras is for you, you would still probably like it a lot, so if you're thinking about one I suggest you grab a discounted one. Love mine.

There are three dealers in my area but none of them seem to have a page on their websites or link to these discounted tools.
