Yep,  as Tom B posted,  Festool is discounting ALL RECON TOOLS - regardless of condition, to a flat 40% - effective 12 AM October 14 through November 14th. Same conditions apply - One year warranty, sales tax collected in applicable states and all sales final. If anyone was on that fence about ordering a recon tool or tools, get 'em while they are hot, because at 40% off, that's an incredible deal, hard to pass up. I'm guessing the store will be open late ;) :-X ;)

Just to clarify...

From 10/14-11/14, we will be shipping the reconditioned tool in the best condition we currently have available.

So, if we have a "10%" condition tool and you order quickly, you'll get that.
If we have only a "30%" condition tool, you'll get that.
The quicker you order, the better the condition you will likely receive.

This is the only time we have ever offered 40% off and we do not plan to ever do it again. So, this is your chance.

Wow... great deals to be had. Is this really kicking off at midnight? Bob, are you sure you want to field all those calls at midnight? :)

Been there, done that; perhaps, next go-round, Festool can devise, say a more ...... uhm.....benign ordering system.... [eek] ::) [wink]

Do Canadians have the opportunity to purchase and save 40% on recon tools?

Festool Canada operates a separate reconditioned tool program with separate inventory in Canada. The 40% off is only applicable in the U.S. Sorry. Check with your Canadian dealer of choice for pricing and availability.

2 quick questions:

- Are the guide rails included with the saws or is it just the saw?
- Bob, where on your site would I go to order? We can private message if that makes more sense.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, rails are included with the saws with new splinterguard strips.

Dealers take orders by phone because their websites cannot show real-time inventory. You can verify with Bob.

Would the dealer be able to arrange swapping in a holey rail?

Since reconditioned tools are shipped from our warehouse in Indianapolis, I doubt it. We do not allow dealers to ship reconditioned tools to their own location, so it would be difficult to do. Basically, you would need to order from a local dealer who is willing to let you bring the rail into their store and swap it. I suspect you'd have better luck just selling the rail and ordering the LR 32 rail separately.

hopefully there are limits per item so inventory doesn't go down quickly before everybody gets a chance to order.

Hi,

If you are referring to customer limits, not that I'm aware, but I don't see any one customer ordering any one tool in great quantities, at least not so far. But who knows?

I'm guessing I could put two PSB 420s... one on each foot... and hold one in each hand. So yeah, why wouldn't every person want four Carvex jigsaws?

Ok, I've gotten some emails and calls about ordering. It's best to call sooner rather than wait until 12 am EST. I am setting up the ordering que now, so best to get in que ASAP, as the Recon are tools now, as always, on a first come first serve basis. And there are many?/some other dealers to "compete" or rather vie with for the tools. And all we dealers are going to give this rodeo our best effort.
I guess the good news is that the initial inventory may quickly sell, but the list is does get repopulated at times.

Three things ordered by 12:30 or so, sure hope that was early enough for what I wanted.  [unsure]
