Recon tools - the final stretch - 40% off all tools

Shane, did Festool do a rolling inventory release for the Reconditioned Tool sale?  I.e. is there any reason to believe there will be any significant quantity additions to the Recondition sale?

Nope. I think I've posted before that any future additions will be in small quantities. We very quickly blew through our "stockpile" for lack of a better word.

Great, thanks for the update.

Anyone know if on the recon list Festool still posting items in "limited quantity" in red? I don't recall seeing any lately and some items are still going fast. Thanks.

11/14, next Friday.

Does anyone know of ANY dealer that takes orders after business hours?
They put CT's up last night at 12:30am West Coast, I called literally every Festool dealer and got no reply. Woke up at 6am only to find they were already gone. Snooze you lose I guess.
(Yes I know this point has been discussed and debated for weeks, not trying to stir anything up, just want to find someone willing to take my money.)

If you're a dealer and you want my business please PM me or post here  [unsure]

I hope Festool realizes how much more demand there is for their tools when they're more affordably priced.  The fervor would reach far beyond the members of the FOG.

The CTs were added at around 2:00pm Eastern yesterday.

I'll PM a list of dealers who have place late-night orders to you.

I saw some CT MIDIs about 8:30 Central last night. I check the list all the time. I emailed some that I had on my waiting list and got no answers until this morning...

At about 6:45 AM I got a call from someone new at Ft. Bragg. The gentleman will soon be the proud owner of a CT MIDI.

Tom

I think we all would like that list!

It is about choices. They aim to be a high class brand, like say Gucci, Rolex, Rolls Royce. You pay a premium for quality, name and bragging rights.

I guess Festools' owners and higher management know that you're probably right, but they just have another philosophy. They want Festool to be expensive, so people crave for it. I doubt they are in dire need for some extra income, I assume they have a pretty heatlhy bank account. So they don't especially need a massive increase of sales, they just prefer to grow steadily within their current formula.

What?  Ha!  Most consumers don't crave for Festool just because it's expensive; it's recognized quality and an engineered system that fits together.  There are MANY quality choices and functional equivalents to the luxury good brands you mentioned; however, there are NOT many choices to quality and engineered tool systems... that's why knowledgeable folks are drawn to Festool.  [cool]

Guys, if you want to speculate about pricing and the reasons people buy our tools, please start another thread on the topic. This is about the recon sale. Thanks.

Remember, Festool is an innovator and our tools are not made in Asia. We like to be profitable and I like to be able to feed my kids. Thanks for your support.  [smile]

I'm not so sure you really get German culture.

Probably not. I only live next door, speak the language and been there a gazillion times.

Sorry Shane, I'll STFU.
