Recon tools - the final stretch - 40% off all tools

My MIDI showed up yesterday, and my domino (from a fellow FOG-er) got here today.  CT 36 AC will be in tomorrow...
Also hauled in about 4 inches of snow FWIW...

I watched a few times, made a few calls, no luck this time but I feel very fortunate that this sale took place.  The tools I got looked brand new and function like wise, once again, thank you festool for this opportunity and please do not take this away from us in the future.  Sam

Some good stuff… not hearing of much. Sometimes I wonder how many people are as excited about gear as I am but don't participate here…?

The recon sale has been great for me, as far as improving and expanding on the tools I own, but I could go broke fast saving this much money.

Luckily, the sale started the same week I took on a project I knew I would need a Rotex for, so it paid for itself in one job.

I opt for extended stiles ovef fillers for all of the factory cabinets I spec, so the TS 55 REQ was an easy call with th 40% price cut.  It saw immediate use on an angled island install the first week I owned it.

I tried to replace my Bosch with a Carvex today, but by the time the dealer logged in, it was gone.  I called him a few hours earlier to prepare him for what was going to happen, but he didn't believe it til he saw it.  He was able to put me down for a CT 36, though.  They're better than the Numatic or Hilti vacs I've used in the past, and light-years ahead of my Fein vac, but I still have a hard time rejoicing  over spending more money on a VACUUM than my first automobile.

A 1963 Rambler Classic that got about thirty miles to the quart.  It was cheap.  Lesson learned.

Looking for a Carvex PS 420 EBQ (barrel handle, non-battery) if anyone (dealer?) can snag one for me.  Also a Rotex 150.

If anyone got one and had buyers regret pm me.

Final hours are looking slim... still watching for OF 1400 EQ Plunge Router and ETS 125 EQ Random Orbital Sander that I missed yesterday.  :-\

Snagged one of the T12's yesterday as well as a Trion in TLoc. I'm done. Thanks Bob Marino! And thanks to Woodcraft in Maryland....Amy, your the best! Also THANKYOU Festool for allowing me to go completely broke!
My reconditioned list: Midi, C15, CXS, T12, ES125, OF2000, OF1400, Syslite, Trion, Tenon Assortment, 3 older Systainers and drum roll please......KS120 Kapex!  All added to my growing workshop! The only tools that I bought that had any readily apparent signs of use were my Midi and the C15. The C15 centrotec chuck had some black transfer on it...that's it. The midi was obviously used (some Sheetrock marks on it that's it) but completely serviceable and with a new 35mm Bosch hose attached to my Kapex well that's one heck of a deal for a saw that will only be used in that position. I also was able to get a GREEN Ryobi....don't laugh to hard, miter saw stand ($59 on HD website!) for my Kapex, which I put together last night. It's not the UAG but then again I'm a hobbyist and diy guy. This weekend, I'll try to throw some paint on my basement Woodshop walls and take apart some older work stations I had slapped together, and move my new Kapex to her permanent station. I've named her Jacqueline Bissett. Cause let's face it..... :)

Got a vacuum today.  Only other tool I am hoping to get at this point would be a Domino.  I have been very lucky and have gotten a lot of tools in the sale.

I would like to thank everyone at Festool for making the sale happen.  And thank you to Beaver Industrial Tools and M&M Tool Parts which have both helped me in getting tools.  For that matter a thank you to all of the dealers that have helped customers during this sale.

Well, the Festool 2014 recon sale is over; cam in like a lion, out like a lamb. I would like to thank my customers first and for-most for their continued support and patience, thanks to Festool for offering the tools at a can't not want to buy price and Shane for juggling about a dozen things, answering just so many questions about the sale. Glad that so very many customers were able to add to their arsenal or introduce many new customers into the fold who would not have been able afford the tools at list price.
My often (maybe too often) concerns aside, thanks again.

+1

I want to say a big Thank you to not only Festool and all the crew but also to Bob Marino for getting at least a T18 for me.  Would have loved to have taken advantage early but just getting back to work and money tight made it too much. Talk about seeing all those good bargains and not being able to snatch them up was hard.
Thanks again for going beyond great service.
Robin

Big win for Festool and all of us!! Thanks Bob Marino - Shane and all the dealers who worked very hard to please us all- an impossible task at best.

Once again, thank you Festool & Bob Marino!  This sale allowed me to add a couple of items that I otherwise would not have bought.  I subsequently spent several hundred dollars in Festool consumables so it's a win-win for everyone.

I would like to thank all the dealers, Festool employees and Shane for the efforts they put forth during the sale.  I really had no specific needs but I did have some things that I wanted.  In my collection of Festool, I had one dust extractor and one drill already.  I was able to snag another dust collector and a 2nd drill.  The dust collector arrived about two weeks ago.  Just so that I didn't feel like it was an unnecessary purchase, I ordered a new Kapex to attach to the dust collector.

I was satisfied with the dust collector as my only purchase from the sale, but today I came home to a new or like new 15 + 3 drill set.  It has already seen action tonight.

Thanks again to all involved in the sale.
