Many thanks to Maria, Jay, Jannel, Aldo and everyone from In Touch Tools, the Festool Store of Palm Dessert. They were marvelous and generous hosts, as always.
Many thanks also to Steve Bace and Allen Kingsley for presenting such a comprehensive version of the Cabinet Construction class in just a single day.
Absolutely the next time In-Touch or another dealer within driving distance hosts a similar event I will be there.
Of course with 20 or more folks in a class, for many reasons this was not the same as a two-day hands on class in a Festool training facility with just six participants. Still and all all of us learned a lot. Some of us have attended more than one End User Class in Henderson. One had also attended dealer training from Steve. We all made many new good friends.
On Friday evening two of us who drove into Palm Desert early had a get together at a fine Italian restaurant on Highway 111 at the corner with Cook. Then on Saturday evening after class several of us got together at The Outback Steak House on Highway 111 and Fred Waring Drive. Both of those restaurants are actually in Indian Wells. I stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton on Cook near the I-10 Freeway. Some participants stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton on Highway 111 not far from Cook. At least one stayed at Holiday Inn Express on Hgw 111. All of these are nice places at fair prices.
Sure, I missed the Feast Buffet at Sunset Station in Henderson. Yet even without that buffet, this still was a real Festool Class. I encourage dealers all over to host such regional classes. In my post-class evaluation I asked for one-day Advanced Router and Introduction to Festool as additional classes.
