Registration for Amazon bought Festool items?

Ordered a CXS set from Amazon last night primarily to insure that I would have it in hand before departing for Germany this weekend. (No one here after I leave to accept packages)

This was Amazon direct purchase according to the page, and not through one of the resellers via amazon.

My question is regarding registration. Does Amazon do the same thing as the other retailers by submitting warranty and registration info directly to Festool USA?  Or... do I need to register via mail or web when it arrives tomorrow?

I'm pretty this was addressed on the forum before. Amazon opts not to share customer information with its vendors. So, no tool registrations from them. Retain your proof of purchase in case you need warranty repair.

Hmm... here I thought it was a requirement for the vendor to do that - as in Festool wouldn't authorize Amazon to be a retailer without their sending that in - guess I was mistaken.

Whatever.  Good idea to keep the paperwork regardless.

Maybe they could find a way to include a link to that registration page once it is up?
