I remember watching that airplane and the 2nd tower.  I remember the fear not knowing what happened to my sister at the Pentagon for about 6hrs.  The joy of finally speaking with her and at the same time the sadness for all the others.  Give an extra hug & kiss to those you love today and keep in mind life is fragile.

I remember that day very well.  I'm going to think about the brave police and firefighters who lost their lives trying to save the innocent instead the controversy going on now...

On a more pleasant note, I sent this 9/11 morning at an airshow at the 911th Air Reserve base here in Pittsburgh.  Great show, but that's for another thread.....

I too, watched in horror as the second plane struck on live TV.  When the Pentagon was attacked, I called my sister minutes later as her husband worked there from time to time.  Fortunately, he was at another site that day.  They live in Arlington and I could hear the sirens of emergency vehicles, still on their way to the scene, in the backround as we spoke.  One firefighter from Ladder 4 in NYC graduated from my high school two years after me.  They had 100% casualties that day.  Sam Otice was among the dead.

The whole thing was a little to close to home for me, even though I live more than a thousand miles from either site.

What horrors are yet to come, if we don't stop terrorists from entering our country illegally?
