Went to purchase a bluetooth remote button that fits on the hose only to find that all 3 Festool dealers were out of stock, then went to the trusty internet tool suppliers only to find them out of stock or unavailable as well. Anyone know why this is so, and when these items will be available again....?

Festool had to make some changes for the remote (due to some new regulatory requirements, I believe). We have seen stock level disruptions through this transition, but they're not going anywhere.

I would like to see an updated remote that would allow us to change the variable suction rate via the remote. This bending over thing to change the setting on my CT MIDI I is getting as old as I am.

I have had one sent in for replacement since February. Last time I called to check status I'd have the replacement in early May, with a somewhat cloudy reason of shipping issues. It has not arrived. I'm getting by but could have been putting that remote to work.
Better than changing stuff and keeping the SKU, that is just highly annoying.

FWIW, I ran into the same problem for a new to me CT36AC that I picked up last week. The prior owner used it once and never even knew about the module. I couldn’t find it online. Called FT. It’s been discontinued. New module set is 578500. However, it’s on backorder/preorder from dealers and FT customer service told me they don’t have a date when it will be in stock.

I happened to be browsing a dealers website yesterday and they listed the discontinued bluetooth remote as still being in-stock. They are closed on weekends so you might want to give them a ring on Monday.
