Remove KV connector hardware

After all of my careful layout I managed to put a KV connector (Domino 500) in the wrong place. Does anyone know how to remove a connector that's already been pushed into and expanded into a piece of 18mm Baltic birch plywood, a really expensive piece of plywood? I've searched on FOG and didn't find anything.  I tried to pull it out with a pair of pliers and a block to lever it up, but no luck.  Thanks. [crying]

Just as a follow up. Again thank you for pointing me in the right direction, one of the many reasons I like the FOG community. I used a small drill and drilled relief holes at the long ends of the connector and with a pair of needle nose pliers it easily came out, and appears to be reusable. But the cost of one damaged connector is far less than a $110 piece of plywood.

Glad that you came back to post that it worked out, as people often ghost the board after getting the answer they were looking for.

Very glad that it worked out!

I havent done it but looking at the connector.  I would also try to insert a small pick tool through the screw hole and then pry over to loosen the wedge.  Repeat for both sides. You might need to give the pick tool a light tap with small hammer to get it to bite into the connector a bit.

Or after removing the screw you could tap the connectors hole with a appropriate sized tap and try to wiggle it out
