The 27mm hose on my Ct22 has a small hole, after having been stood on too many times in the past decade.

Apart from duct tape, has anyone repaired their hose, and how?

Will replace it eventually, but saving at the moment for a . . K.

If you were to cut it below the hole, how much length would you lose?

Not used on a Festool hose personally, but you could try a self-adhesive bicycle inner tube repair patch.

I had the same problem with a small hole in my hose made by a sander. Somebody here suggested I use hot melt glue and it worked great. Hose is plugged for 4 years now and still good. The hole in my hose was about 4 mm big, don't know how well it will work with bigger size holes.

you could try using "Rescue Tape".  It is a self amalgamating silicon tape.  I will probably conform to the ridges of the hose, and meld itself together to form a seamless repair that won't form a huge lump on the hose.

I actually cut my hose early on with my ts55...it wasn't pretty.  Just used electrical tape and its held for years.

You need to get some "Rescue Tape". I was a bit skeptical until I picked up some at a boating supply store. I won't go boating without it now. Probably keep a roll in the truck and on the motorcycle too.

It's available in Oz. Google Rescue Tape Australia since they won't let me post links

Believe what they say about the tape.

Seconded on the rescue tape. Used it to stop a leak in my window washer hose on the van.

Thank you to all for your suggestions.

I used a US made silica  tape similar to Rescue Tape and am very pleased with the results.

Pitty I could not disguise the repair with a tape marketed by Festool or at least close to Festool green. But then, I can hardly not see it now, at least until it is soiled by dust.   [smile]

The hole on that picture is just about the size of mine. Could have easily been fixed with hot melt glue, no need for an ugly patch of tape.

Thanks Alex, will try hot glue if this repair fails, or heaven forbid, there is another hole!

Is there any glue inhibiting flow of saw dust inside hose?  Question, not criticism.

The trick is to apply enough glue to seal the hole, and nothing more. Just a drop. It's not difficult to do.
