Retailer to ship Snickers from Europe to USA?

So, I have a few items of Snickers work wear, and I just can't seem to find anything that compares (Blaklader, Mascot, Bjornklader, etc....). The retailer from England that shipped to me last time hasn't been responding, so I'm putting the word out to our EU members to find out if they're familiar with a retailer that might ship to me? I don't mind a long lead time, it just means I'll order more and plan ahead. Thanks!!
Best,
Tom

I'll take one of the work jackets in milk chocolate....

Just. Couldn't. Resist. [cool]

Hi Tom  what is it exactly that you need ? I may be able to help
Fishy

Thanks Fishy!! Here's what I'm looking at:

2 Pairs of these: http://www.snickersonline.co.uk/categories/work-trousers-1497/snickers-xtr-craftsmens-canvas-plus-trousers-product-3712.htm

And another pair of these: http://www.snickersonline.co.uk/categories/work-trousers-1497/snickers-rip-stop-pirate-trousers-3923-product-3675.htm

That would be it for now (I think....). I am wearing the Flexi Tool Vest and tool pouches for work these days. Have an extra vest, but it would be nice to know I had access to more should I need them. Feel free to PM me if that's easier. Thanks!!
Best Regards,
Tom

Tom,

What is it you like better about Snicker wear than the other brands?

Hi Ken! I've tried Skillers, Snickers, Blaklader, Bjornklader, and Mascot. The Snickers products just seem to fit better, seem better made, like they're about 5 years ahead of the other guys..... I'm sure our European members would have more input than I can provide.

The biggest thing for me is knee pad placement, comfort, and durability. Right now I am wearing the Blaklader Heavy Worker pants. They fit fine, and the knee pads land just right. The material itself if quite durable, but I have found that the stitching seems to wear out after a year or two.

The Skillers were ok, basically a muted version of what Snickers was offering. Very "vanilla", moderate durability, good knee pad placement.

I tried a pair of Velho pants from Mascot. Great materials, nice look, but the knee pads just did not land in the correct place when I knelt down. I am told that the Velho is unique in its fit, and that the Almada or other pants may work better.

I also tried a pair of the Carpenter Ace pants from Bjornklader. They seemed ok, but the knee pads didn't land correctly for me, and just didn't seem as nice of quality as some other pants I've tried.

The kicker for me is I REALLY like wearing the 3/4 pants in the summer, and Snickers/Skillers are the only 3/4 pants that have the knee pad pocket low enough for my knees. Both the Mascot Pinhel as well as the Bjornkladers were way too high to be functional.

Anything in particular you'd like to know? This is of course just my opinion and experience.

Best,
Tom

Tom,

Thanks for the info.  I'm more of a simpleton with work clothes.  It took me a while to go from all Carhartt stuff, slowly to Blaklader.  I've never heard of some Euro brands you mentioned, but I find it interesting to learn about other products and user feedback.  Of course I would need to actually see the clothes and try them on to know whether they were right for me.  Too bad a lot of the European brands aren't readily available here.  Even the Blaklader stuff has been hard to come by. Bjornklader I've only seen on some odd fellow named Kreg.

Ken, I totally agree with you on wanting to handle the clothes and try them on.

I ordered my Bjornklader pants from www.Faceline.com, and they were very nice to deal with.

www.repconnw.com used to carry Skillers until that line was discontinued, now they carry Mascot. Again, I have had great customer service with them.

I have been buying my Blaklader pants locally from Acme Tools in Plymouth, Minnesota.

Best of luck!
Tom

Uh, Tom.  That link to Faceline.com is for a site on face lifts (plastic surgery), make up and other face care products.

[big grin]  No pants!

Where ever you get them from, don't pay those prices  [eek]  The first link i have a pair of those they cost me under £60 and that was inc vat..

John..

here is the brand i went for when i wanted to look "professional" after starting my business, Dassy is a relatively new brand based in Belgium and it's expanding rapidly to other countries it seems.
I wear the "jackson" pants and "tulsa" vest, and i quite like em. Since the brand is young they still have reasonable prices
