Does anyone know if the RG 130 will be available in Canada any time soon or NA for that matter?

Thx
Lawrence

Considering the fact that the only concrete tool Festool has sold in North America is an SDS-Plus hammer, you should probably go get an Alpha Ecogrinder instead of waiting.

I'll add my two cents . I'm wondering if Festool will add to their NA lineup now that the new Dust Regulations for capturing or containing concrete or silica dust came on line in June. Hilti had a read out on their web site about the new regs that I talked about here on FOG earlier in the year. You would think Festool would want to promote their dust collecting equipment ,but as you noted, nothing yet.

Well I don't think any of their current extractor models would last too long on a big concrete job, so I'm not sure I'd be promoting them too heavily myself--if the bags didn't clog prematurely, the hose caddies would probably snap. But between Collomix, Alpha and Metabo, I don't think anyone's missing out on too much. They've even got a grinder/tuckpointer thingy that rides on Festool tracks:

Its main purpose seems to be cutting control joints, but I turned a huge sheet of slate into little desktops with one in somebody's living room and there was very little cleanup to do afterward.

I use both the Metabo RS14-125 and W12-125 HD CED PLUS and both have great dust extraction.
