Richelieu Canada

That's awesome!

I'll have to check out my local Richelieu here in Calgary to see what their display looks like.

I dropped in there yesterday to pick up some 2P10 adhesive and had my blinders on I guess as i was in a hurry as I walked up to order desk and I didn't notice anything (geez, my Wife says I do this often....) [wink]

Good to have more retailers carrying the products, but prices are the same everywhere.  :(

Wrong an of1400 router is $198 CAD more then Lee Valley. Everything is more and they don't stock anything in the branches, minimal stock in Montreal.

This is incorrect. Richelieu discounts all their product prices based on past account purchases. The more I buy the cheaper products are. Obviously to certain threshold. In this case the OF 1400 is exactly the same price at Richelieu as it is at Lee Valley.

Unless you need the tool that day, Richelieu will not charge you shipment from Montreal to the geographically closest distribution center to you.
I don't work for Richelieu, (not that they would have me) nor is this an endorsment just saying...

I believe you. My price is 784.99. A penny cheaper than Lee Valley.

If I were buying today I wouldn't have thought of Richelieu. Also be aware that if you don't like it, and send it back within the 30 days you will probably be charged a restocking fee. Not 100% sure but something to keep in mind.
In the GTA, we are very lucky to have a lot of very good, knowledgeable retailers like Lee Valley, Atlas Machinery and Mississauga Hardware that stock and order Festool products and parts.

Good point about the restocking charge. I have been dealing with Richelieu for many years and I was quite surprised to see them carrying Festool. I guess they build in shipping to here. All the Festool prices that I checked were more. We only have LV and Felder here, so kinda limited, and LV is getting rid of all their employees that knew anything about Festool, sad. Felder is good tho. Looks like Festool is trying to spread their wings, next you will be able to buy it in HD, next to the Ryobi. Then all the quality tool shops will either close down or find some other tool to sell. When I first bought into Festool I thought they were a high end tool (not just in price) with knowledgeable sales people to sell them. No offense to the REAL TOOL stores that sell them, but it seems to be changing, and as they move to other box stores, LV,  the real tool stores will get less. And good luck with IMP only. Just my [2cents]

My price was showing up within 2cents of LV but there may be discounts for larger customers.

heh... i wonder if prices are cheaper through directbuy via richelieu
