I have the foam board (purple) to use under my sheet goods. Works great , thanks to the FOG members.
My question is what’s the best way to store it?
Would cutting it almost through and folding it like an accordion work?

What methods do you peeps use
Thanks in advance

Cut it all the way through and use duct tape over the joint(s).

The pieces I have are 2x8 and have tongue and groove.  I put them together and then taped the seem.  Eventually if you didn't cut all the way through, I'm sure it would break eventually.

FWIW: we have been using rigid foam insulation board for quite some time and handle and store it easily because we just cut it in quarters: 24x48 inches and lay them down next to each other without making an effort to join them seamless. Works fine. When one quarter gets tired from use, we only replace that quarter.

A bundle of four sections like this are also easy to handle outdoors getting in and out of job site when there is a breeze. You can grasp and hold all of them all at once.

PS: we thank the FOG for getting us onto foam board a few years ago :)

Definitively the best approach imo.

I'm another one that does not necessarily use a full sheet of foam.  I keep four pieces of 2x2 foam in my shop and lay them down as needed.  On my truck I carry a Paul Bench with foam cut to fit, that piece is cut in two so that I can uncover part of the bench to used the dog holes as needed.  I often tape the foam to the bench so that I can slide stock around without shifting the foam.  Having two pieces also allows me to space out the foam on the floor to cut full sheets while still having my bench available.

I think I’m leaning towards cutting it in half. 2-2’x8’ pieces
Maybe a T and G on the edge .
Thanks again,Charlie

I cut mine into thirds across the width.  Three short pieces are easy to store.

[member=42009]gunnyr[/member] - you could do a separate thread on your entire set up in your pick-up. There is a lot of useful experience you can share for the rest of us. I'm certain it would be welcomed by more than a few.

Many thanks [member=59331]TSO Products[/member]!  I'm afraid the list of what I want/should have done to my truck set up is far longer than what I've done!  I will certainly post an update in the next few months though, just a few more things to do  [big grin] [big grin]

I also cut mine in thirds so they're 32" x 48". Easy to handle, easy to store. Sometimes you just don't need to use a full sheet. Last summer I needed to cut some 3/8" aluminum. So simple to grab a foam section lay it down on the patio and cut away.
