It's time to start my spring-cleaning, and first up is clearing out the warehouse. Okay, it's actually 3 drawers in my office/workroom.

In any case I am bringing the Rip-Saga to an end, it started here on the FOG circa 2010 as a rambling thread, morphed into a part-time business-ish activity, and is now a distraction. Plus I need that drawer space for my other ventures hobbies distractions.

The remaining inventory is available @ www.ripdogs.com while it lasts. Use coupon code GOOBS (going out of business sale) for a 20% discount.

Many thanks to everyone who encouraged, made suggestions and patronized over the years. I learned tons about design, CNC, webstores, had lots of fun, and even purchased a few extra Festools with the proceeds. Win-win.

PS - PayPal checkout only, but if you can use a debit/credit card via their interface.

Richard,
Never seen your site before, just placed an order on the narrow and wide guide sets as this is what i have been in the need for lately.

Thanks Guy, packed and shipping this AM.

Over the years a surprising amount of stuff has shipped to Oz. Seems like your countrymen are more used to ordering international than people elsewhere.

Hope you enjoy them.

Richard,

Just ordered the Rip Guide Set- should have ordered it a long time ago.  I thought about them every time I used my Festool guides, but then the work was done and didn't pull the trigger.

Appreciate your work on these accessories- keep the ideas coming!

Regards,
Gerald

Richard,

Just received your shipping confirmation - Thanks for the quick ship

Are the guide clips machined from aluminum or molded plastic?

Approximately how much clearance is between the guide clips and the guide dogs?

[member=63201]RustE[/member] - the clips are CNC machined from Acetyl, a high strength thermoplastic. Very tough stuff.

The clips provide a 20mm offset from the post on the dog to the guide rail, just enough on an MFT to prevent the saw kerf from buggering up a row of dog holes.

Hope this answers your questions.

Down to a half dozen sets of RipDogs.

Thanks, RMW

Added the narrow guide add-on to complete my set.  Thanks!

Good luck with your future ventures.  [smile]

Thanks to all for the good wishes and orders, there's a fair number of flat rate boxes on their way.

Full disclosure, I was approached by a party interested in taking over the enterprise, continuing to support the existing products and develop new ones.  Nothing has been agreed upon yet but I thought it prudent and fair to make folks aware that rather than being discontinued there will likely be a transfer in ownership.

In the meantime I will honor the discount code.

Thanks,

RMW

Thanks Richard.

Waiting for my Rip Dogs and Guides to arrive.

Best of luck with your future endeavors.

Just ordered, but it wouldn't take the goob coupon code.  Don't know why, just said it was invalid.

Thanks, looking forward to using them.

I believe its GOOBS, not goob.

Richard, what will happen to your website. Will that be passed on as well?

Yes, assuming the deal happens then everything will transfer. the main idea to to continue the brand seamlessly while also expanding the offering.

[member=43773]Neal W[/member] - thanks for the order, I will refund 20% if the credit did not apply. All orders are packed and either shipped or going out in the AM. Thanks everyone.

Whilst I am sad to see you leave the venture, I completely understand. I am glad I got to partake years ago in some of your handy work and wish you well in the new phase.

Hope to see some new projects from you on now now that you will have oodles of time Richard!

;^)

Cheers. Bryan.
