I am about to order a new pad for my rotex 150 feq.  Not sure whether to get the soft, medium, or hard.  Any opinions?

I like the hard one, especially if you want to keep edges sharp.
But I have a medium on the Rotex as well and a soft on the ETS, there is a reason they make these, they fit different purposes.

So think about what you‘ll most likely need to do and take it from there.
If you do not require the new and improved Jetstream 2, there are currently a lot of good prices for the last version on eBay, at least here in Germany..

Hi,

  Welcome to the forum.  [smile]

I take it you got the old pad off?

I would get the medium (soft as opposed to super soft) and the hard. I use one or the other depending on the application.

I use mine for sanding a lot of wide material, so I find the hard pad works very well.  With the medium pad, I found the edge of the pads were doing most of the work.

What will compliment the sander very well, is the ergonomic hand sander, it takes your old (and damaged) sanding discs allowing you to get the most out of them.
