Recently purchased a RO 150 and CT 26 package after hours of testing the tools at my supplier, and reading reviews here. I want to do a better job of dust control in clients' homes, and the Festool line seemed the best choice, in spite of the high initial investment. After a week, I am very impressed with the results. Excellent dust collection, clever engineering, and the sander is smooth and well balanced. However, it seems that the Rotex is heating excessively whenever used longer than 5 minutes or so. I notice this in both modes, with only moderate pressure (identical technique to what I'd use on my old Bosch with no noticeable heating). I am very satisfied with the tool's results and ease of use, but am concerned long term: do the Rotex just "run hot", or should I be worried, especially long term. I realize it comes with an excellent warranty, but shipping out a tool, downtime for the tool, etc. still has a cost.
Thanks for any help,
